We invite writers to contribute original articles that bring New England history to life for a general audience. Our focus is public history—history written to be read, enjoyed, and understood by curious readers. We aim to tell stories in a clear and compelling manner. Unlike academic history, which often speaks to a specialized audience, our goal is broad accessibility but without oversimplification. Good public history is built on solid sources, careful fact-checking, and intellectual honesty.

If you enjoy uncovering overlooked stories, explaining why the past matters, and making New England history vivid and meaningful, we welcome your submission.
