East Haven Celebrates Lafayette

Lafayette Day will be held in honor of the anniversary of Marquis de Lafayette’s tour of East Haven and the surrounding areas! In 1824 the Marquis de Lafayette returned to tour the nation he had fought years before to establish. The East Haven Historical Society will be celebrating the town’s joining the Lafayette Trail and the Hagaman Library will be hosting events beginning at 10:30 a.m., including:

A discussion of “Hero of Two Worlds” by Mike Duncan.
A discussion of “The Marquis: Lafayette Reconsidered” by Laura Auricchio.
A special Marquis de Lafayette Bingo and Trivia game!
